TB Education & Training Resources Website Newsletter
October 2005

Greetings!

Welcome to this month's e-newsletter for the TB Education & Training Resources Website (findtbresources.cdc.gov). The purpose of this monthly newsletter is to inform you about the featured Highlight of the Month, additional helpful resources in the database, and other updates to the website.

Highlight of the Month

This month’s highlight, Investing in Strategies to Reverse the Global Incidence of TB, is a report from the UN Millennium Project Working Group on TB. The UN Millennium Project was commissioned in 2002 by the United Nations Secretary-General, to recommend the best strategies for achieving the Millennium Development Goals. This report recommends an operational framework of action to meet the targets for tuberculosis (TB): to halve the prevalence of TB disease and deaths between 1990 and 2015.
