TB Education & Training Resources Website E-Newsletter
May 2006

Greetings!

Welcome to this month's e-newsletter for the TB Education & Training Resources Website (findtbresources.cdc.gov). The purpose of this monthly newsletter is to inform you about the featured Highlight of the Month, additional helpful resources in the database, and other updates to the website.

Highlight of the Month

This month's highlight, International Standards for Tuberculosis Care, developed by the Tuberculosis Coalition for Technical Assistance, describes a widely accepted level of care that all practitioners should seek to achieve in managing patients who have, or are suspected of having, tuberculosis. The Standards are intended to facilitate the effective engagement of all care providers in delivering high-quality care for patients of all ages. Developed in tandem with the Standards, the World Care Council's The Patients' Charter for Tuberculosis Care outlines the rights and responsibilities of patients. For more information on The Patients' Charter, see the Additional Resources section below.
