TB Education & Training Resources Website E-Newsletter
April 2007

Greetings!

Welcome to this month's e-newsletter for the TB Education & Training Resources Website (findtbresources.cdc.gov). The purpose of this monthly newsletter is to inform you about the featured Highlight of the Month, additional helpful resources in the database, and other updates to the website.

Highlight of the Month

This month's highlight, HIV testing for life...HIV testing for all tuberculosis patients, encourages health care workers to offer HIV testing to TB patients. The document contains real life stories and photos of patients and health staff, communication tips, and research data to support how HIV testing is beneficial to TB patients.

The document was originally developed by the TB/HIV Research Foundation, Thailand (THRF) and the Research Institute of Tuberculosis, Japan Anti-Tuberculosis Association (RIT-JATA). The book was translated to English by WHO/SEARO.
