November is National Diabetes Month.

TB is a serious health threat, especially for people with diabetes. In 2022, diabetes was the most commonly reported medical risk factor among people with active TB disease, affecting 1 in 4 people diagnosed with TB.

People with untreated inactive TB and diabetes are more likely to develop active TB disease than someone without diabetes. Without proper treatment, diabetes and TB can increase health complications.
