The What You Need to Know About Tuberculosis fact sheet gives a quick introduction on TB as well as information on testing and treatment of TB. Download the Chuukese and Swahili fact sheets for free from the CDC website.


The resources are available in additional languages and can be downloaded from the CDC TB website.


CDC’s False-Positive Investigation Toolkit provides mycobacteriology staff with resources to recognize potential false-positive results and to assist staff in false-positive investigations.


The toolkit includes a document with information on prevention practices and monitoring, job aids, posters, and templates. The job aids and templates can be modified for local use.


An accompanying online interactive case study training module is also available through the Association of Public Health Laboratories. The training module walks through different scenarios of a potential false-positive investigation.
