Abstract
Using a question-and-answer format, this pamphlet provides general information about tuberculosis (TB). It briefly discusses transmission, symptoms, and the difference between TB infection and disease. The pamphlet explains testing using the QuantiFERON TB Gold (QFT) blood test and the tuberculin skin test, the procedures that are followed if the test result is negative or positive, whether it is possible for an individual who had received the BCG vaccine to get TB, and treatment for both TB infection and TB disease.
