WHO has published a global TB report every year since 1997. The main aim of the report is to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of the TB epidemic, and of progress in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease at global, regional and country levels. This report is updated annually.

This 2020 edition of Reported Tuberculosis in the United States reflects a uniquely challenging year for public health and the TB community. The report describes information on cases of tuberculosis (TB) disease reported to CDC since 1993. This year’s report emphasizes cases counted by the reporting areas in 2020 and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on TB surveillance.

Global Tuberculosis Report 2024

The WHO Global tuberculosis report 2024 provides a comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of the TB epidemic and of progress in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease, at global, regional and country levels. This is done in the context of global TB commitments, strategies and targets.The 2024 edition of the report is, as usual, based primarily on data gathered by WHO from national ministries of health in annual rounds of data collection. In 2024, 193 countries and areas with more than 99% of the world’s population and TB cases reported data.The core report document focuses on the main findings and messages. This is accompanied by webpages that provide more detailed and digitized content, including many interactive graphics; and an app containing country, regional and global profiles.
