CDC has released a toolkit for public health mycobacteriology laboratories on creating a continuity of operations plan (COOP). The toolkit includes processes for creating, modifying, or implementing mycobacteriology COOPs, including considerations for leveraging partnerships. The toolkit also provides templates, checklists, and contact lists that are editable and adaptable for local needs.

Access the toolkit on the CDC website.

November is National Diabetes Month.

TB is a serious health threat, especially for persons with diabetes. People with diabetes who are also infected with TB are more likely to develop TB disease and become sick with TB. Without proper treatment, diabetes and TB can increase health complications.
